Sharman's Sewing Center is proud to be celebrating its 26th Anniversary in East Texas. In 1984 Richard and Sharman Dorsey opened Sharman's Sewing Center in Longview, Texas with 900 square feet of space, a few bolts of fabric, Pfaff Sewing Machines,  plus lots and lots of classes.

The mission was to provide the East Texas area with a unique and creative sewing center offering the best quality sewing machines, serger/overlock machines, a large selection of sewing furniture (cabinets, chairs and lighting) and to maintain professionally trained service technicians, sales associates and educational staff.

Sharman’s Sewing Center - Longview now has more than six times the space than the original store for housing Babylock, Brother and Pfaff Sewing, Embroidery and Quilting Machines,  the best quilting fabrics, books, patterns, sewing, quilting and embroidery threads, plus unique sewing, quilting and embroidery notions.

Thirteen years ago- Sharman's Sewing Center – Tyler was opened at 6005 S. Broadway.  The Staff at both locations invite you to stop by and enjoy the quality fabrics from top designers or come sit for a demonstration on one of our great Pfaff, BabyLock, Brother Sewing Machines, Sergers, Embroidery or Quilting Machines.

If your interest is embroidery Software or Embroidery Design Collections, Sharman's also offers a great selection from the top digitizing companies in house.

Sharman has a passion for thread so both stores stock a huge variety of Quality sewing, quilting and embroidery threads. 

Sharman's is your Authorized Baby Lock, Brother and Pfaff Dealer with locations in Longview and Tyler, Texas.

Our staff at both stores have certification in Baby Lock Designer's Gallery and MasterWork software as well as Pfaff 4D Embroidery Software.  Our In-house service technicians are factory trained and certified by Pfaff and BabyLock.

We are also proud of our staff at Sharman's.  Most of our staff, including both full-time and part-time employees can boast of 8 years to over 20 years of service at Sharman's! 

We all feel it has been (and continues to be) a great privilege to serve the sewing, embroidery and quilting enthusiast in East Texas........ where creativity is a lifestyle.

Our mission statement at Sharman’s Sewing Center is simple.  We will strive to continually provide the highest quality products at a fair price in an honest, friendly and educational environment.  We strive to teach and encourage the knowledge and love of the many facets of sewing, embroidery and quilting.  We will always strive for the absolute best in customer service. 

Our goal will always be to treat others as we wish to be treated.   We love what we have been given the opportunity to do at Sharman’s Sewing Center and we  hope this is evident in our customer service.
